Almost all practical duty of care provisions are catered for. With no risk of casual back-up cell removal, the power supply is virtually guaranteed against any external threat to the energy supply. The 10 year+ technology used in the 160 RC Series provides the most effective and reliable back-up power available. Maintenance requirements are negligible. The cells used are the only rechargeable cells with a realistic ten year life expectancy confirmed by manufacturer Panasonic. Constantly 'topped up' by the mains, they out-perform lithium primary batteries, capacitors or rechargeable cells currently in use in other smoke alarms.
