Mita PVC two gang mini-trunking accessory box. 25mm deep. Designed to sit above or beside a mini trunking run, simply cut off the trunking lid where you want the box to be, and it fits over the cut section leaving a tidy, professional-looking finish. We asked the supplier why they were called breakaway boxes, and they said the reason was lost in the mists of time, but the two prevailing views were (a) It was because it allowed cables to "break away2 from the trunking and into the box, or (b) because when the boxes were launched they did a promotion with breakaway biscuits (remember them?) and maybe the name just stuck!
