Cooper FXN922 Multi Sensor Fire Alarm Detector

Cooper fire and security introduced their new Multi Sensor Detector in early 2010. It incorporates self check technology which will check the wiring of the detector and display a warning light if there is a problem on that detector. The great thing about this detector is that is can be configured to cover three detector types

This is possible using the 4 position switch on the back of the detector - this is set before the installation.

Self Check Feature

The FXN922 Detector boasts technology that doesn't exist in any other detector - the self check feature - this operates using a led indicator on the unit. Red is continuous which indicates the alarm condition, yellow when continuously lit is warning of a smoke sensor chamber fault or that the smoke alarm is contaminated. The LED can be pulsed from the panel to locate wiring faults which will save the installer masses of time in the event of a fault being found in the system.
